BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike has identified 157 low-lying areas and storm water drains where severe flooding is likely during rains, and one official will be deputed to each of these places, said District Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Friday.
After a meeting with BBMP officials, the minister told Express that he has directed all eight zonal commissioners to take precautionary measures to prevent further flooding and damage. Reddy also directed officials to cover potholes which have surfaced in the recent rain.
