Baby Mariyam Moved to Hospital Again in Bangalore

BANGALORE: Following breathing problems, four-year-old Mariyam Kausar, a victim of medical negligence, was shifted to Malathi Manipal Hospital from her residence in Hoskote.

Earlier, the family had shifted her to their rented home in Hoskote as they could no longer afford hospital treatment. The child was in hospital for almost nine months but was taken back home last month and given treatment there as she was in a vegetative state.

Mariyam’s father Mudassir said, “The child was suffering from breathing problems. When we called the consulting doctor, they asked us to bring her in. After an examination, the doctor asked them to admit her at Manipal Hospital’s JP Nagar branch. At present, the child is in the ICU.”
