Sexual Harassment Case Filed

BANGALORE: Kengeri police are on the lookout for film producer Sathya, who allegedly sexually harassed thew wife of an actor.

Based on a complaint by the victim, the police have started investigation. In the complaint, she alleged that Sathya had misbehaved with her on the sets and sexually harassed her. The woman’s husband is playing the lead role in an upcoming movie. The actor’s family and producer reportedly had a dispute over the movie’s production.

One Held for Raping Minor

A man was arrested by Byatarayanapura police on Saturday for allegedly raping a minor girl, studying in 9th standard. The accused was identified as Lokesh Raje Urs, a farmer from Mavanoor of K R Nagar taluk.

The victim is his wife’s younger sister and was living in Lokesh’s house for the purpose of her studies. Her  parents, who are daily wage labourers, live in a hut near Nayandahalli junction in the city.

The incident came to light when the victim visited her parents on Saturday and fell sick. She was taken to a hospital where doctors said she was sexually assaulted.

A complaint was filed at Byatarayanapura police station and a special team arrested the accused. As the alleged crime took place in K R Nagar, the case will be transferred to the local police for further investigation, officials at Byatarayanapura polie station said.
