BANGALORE : The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) suspended two of its officials on Tuesday.
Rajappa, deputy director of Public Instruction Chikmaglur and Jagadish, joint director of the Mid-day meal project, have been suspended.
As per the order issued by Commissioner of Public Instruction Mohammed Mohsin, Rajappa was suspended as he failed to act on a report submitted by the Block Education Officer over single digit students in schools. He failed to redeploy students and teachers. Jagadish was responsible for causing delay in processing tender for installation of boilers at schools to cook mid-day meal, says the order.
