CHENNAI: A group of six Mechanical Engineering students – James, Gokhul Ram, Anish, Jebin, Smith Prem and Janiston — of Loyola Institute of Technology, designed and fabricated a mini bike.

The bike is mainly designed for high performance off road. The weight of the bike has been reduced by altering the chassis and by using a fibre body. The chassis has been designed aerodynamically, so the bike provides more stability and achieves higher lean angles.

The students have used parts of old motorcycles, so the cost and size of the vehicle has been reduced.
