BANGALORE: A 31-year-old autorickshaw driver was arrested for allegedly murdering his brother-in-law on Sunday night over a six-year-long grudge. The incident took place in front of Naveen Bar in C K Achukattu police station limits.
The deceased is Raghu Rao (25), also an auto driver. Police said the two had a fight over some family matters and Mallesh hit Rao on the head with a club, killing him on the spot. Six years ago, Mallesh was engaged to marry’s Rao’s sister Latha Bai. However, Rao opposed the alliance and it was called off. Mallesh and Latha Bai eloped to Tamil Nadu and got married.
Over time, the family made peace but Rao and Mallesh continued to begrudge each other and fought frequently.
