1 Killed in Drunken Brawl

BANGALORE: A 28-year-old man was killed and his friend injured by two others in a drunken brawl in Hanumanthanagar on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Jagadeesh, a computer operator at a private company. The assailants, Shivakumar and Manju, are said to have attacked Jagadeesh after they found him urinating on a bike which belonged to one of them.

The police said Jagadeesh, a resident of Hosakerehalli, had come to Vinayaka Bar at Nagendra Block with his friend Narasimhamurthy. They left the bar at 11.30 pm. Shivakumar and Manju also left the bar around the same time and saw Jagadeesh, who was drunk, urinating on one of their bikes. A furious Shivakumar picked a quarrel with Jagadeesh and in a fit of rage, hit him on the head with a beer bottle while Manju stabbed him with a knife. Narasimhamurthy escaped with minor injuries.

The locals rushed Jagadeesh to a hospital nearby but he was declared brought dead. Both the accused are absconding.  The police is yet to interrogate Narasimhamurthy.
