CHENNAI: Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls Higher Secondary School celebrated its 51st Annual Day on September 5.
President of the school committee K C S K Ashokan presided over the function. School secretary T S T R Premkumaran welcomed the gathering. Headmistress D Nirmala Rani presented the annual report.
U Sagayam, IAS officer and managing director of Co-optex, gave the keynote address. He urged students to aim high to achieve their goals in life. He encouraged the teachers to mould good citizens with higher values.
He distributed gold medals to the toppers and mementos to the students and staff. The students organised cultural programmes. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
