CHENNAI: The Department of Commerce of Nazareth College of Arts and Science, Avadi, released their department magazine Merx 2014 and conducted an intercollegiate meet on Aug 22.
The programme commenced with a prayer song. Head of the Department SreeDevi welcomed the chief guest Nanda Kumar IRS, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Govt of India, who released the magazine.
In his address the chief guest stated that ‘life is like a balance sheet’. He compared the success’ and failure’ with ‘assets and liabilities of life’ and said each person should know to prepare the ‘balance sheet’ of his life.
The second session started with events such as quiz, ad-zap, corporate walk and face painting. Over 20 colleges participated. Loyola College won the overall championship shield. The vote of thanks was given by Prema, asst professor of Commerce.
