Maharishi Vidya Mandir Celebrates 3rd Sports Day

CHENNAI: Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Metro Sameera Gardens, Nenmeli, Chengalpet conducted its 3rd Annual Sports Meet on August 27.

B R Nanda Gopal, national athlete, was the chief guest and prof V B Jayantha Padmanaban M D S, Principal, Asan Memorial Dental College and Hospital, was the guest of honour. E Uma, Principal of the school, spoke on the importance of developing multiple intelligences for holistic development. The chief guest declared the sports meet open and march past by the students enlivened the meet.

There were track events, mass drill, yoga, gymnastics, silambam, karate, and leapstart display by the older students, while the tiny tots presented dances.

Abimanyu House was declared the overall winners on the occasion.
