Undertrial Gives Cops the Slip at KBS

BANGALORE: An undertrial, who was being taken to Parappana Agrahara prison after being produced before a court in Tumkur, escaped with chains still on him at Kempegowda bus stand on Wednesday evening.

Siddique Pasha (30) is being tried for murder and dacoity. He has also been booked for sandalwood theft  and has been in prison since December 12, 2012. A senior police officer said Pasha and two constables were walking to a hotel for refreshments when he made his escape. Pasha knocked down one of the constables and managed to slip into the crowd.
