BENGALURU: Bengaluru Rural police on Monday arrested a 32-year-old rowdy-sheeter who was involved in red sanders smuggling. The police raided the house of Ejas alias Eju at Kattigenahalli in Hoskote taluk and seized about 4 tonnes red sanders worth `2 crore.
Based on a tip off, two teams, led by DySP, along with other police officers, conducted the raid around 6.30 am and arrested the accused. They found the red sanders stocked in his house from the last two months.
Eju had a plan to export it to China, the police said.
