DPS Ludhiana Wins National Civic Fest

BENGALURU: For the second time in a row, Delhi Public School, Ludhiana, has won the National Civic Fest organised by Bala Janaagraha, the children’s division of not-for-profit organisation Janaagraha.

The theme for this year’s fest was ‘Our Roads’, with the aim of making students understand urban planning and design and its impact on their neighbourhood.

According to a press release, DPS Ludhiana defeated three schools from Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru to win the trophy, which more than 36,000 students from 485 schools across 24 cities had vied for.  Through their projects, the students showed sustainable solutions to myriad problems plaguing our roads.

The event, which was held on Friday, also saw the participation of principals of various schools.
