Registrations Open for Biz Workshop

The three-day event in New Delhi will help entrepreneurs interact with industry experts

QUEEN'S ROAD: The Coalition, a mentoring workshop for creative entrepreneurs, has opened a second round of registrations for its three-day annual event till Sunday.

The event, which will be held from February 27 to March 1, will feature talks, discussions, master classes, workshops and other activities at the Buddh International Circuit in Delhi NCR.

Justin Bolognino, creative director, SFX Entertainment; V Adimurthy and Satish Dhawan, VSSC senior advisory (Interplanetary Missions), ISRO; Satya Raghavan, head of content operations, YouTube India, Google; Anshoo Gupta, founder director, Goonj; Sameer Pitalwalla, CEO and co-founder, Culture Machine and Sonal Bhatia, head of marketing, Koovs.com are some of the speakers lined up for the event.

Apart from mentoring, The Coalition aims to connect people to, “like-minded people, skills and knowledge that can turn their passion into profitable, scalable and sustainable businesses”.

So, at the end of the workshop, entrepreneurs will have the chance to pitch their project ideas to investors, mentors and incubators for funding. Investors at the second edition of The Coalition include Shailesh Vikram Singh, executive director, Seedfund Ventures; Prajakt Raut, angel investor; Nitin Shakhder, founder and CEO, Green Capital; Sheetal Bahl, managing director and CEO, growX ventures.

Those who don’t feel ready to pitch ideas to investors yet can present them to industry experts through the Open Floor session. This is part of a set of activities that they have introduced after getting feedback on last year’s edition, organisers say.

“There are also more socialising activities because people said they would like more time to mingle with industry experts,” says Laura, adding that the TC/2 app, which will be launched at the event, will help participants connect and send messages to each other so they can meet easily between sessions and coordinate with each other.
