4K Gain Eligibility for Lecturer Posts

MYSURU: As many as 4,156 candidates have become eligible for lecturer’s posts after taking the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) 2013, which was held on November 30 last year. 

The results will be announced on the website of the University of Mysore (UoM), the nodal agency accredited by the UGC, on Tuesday. Disclosing this to reporters here on Friday, UoM Vice-Chancellor K S Rangappa said there is a two per cent decline in passes this time.

Bengaluru Tops the Chart

Bengaluru holds the top position in the state in K-SET results. About nine per cent of the candidates who applied from Bengaluru have gained eligibility, followed by Mysuru (8 per cent), Dharwad (6 pc),  Kalaburagi and Mangaluru (3 pc), and Belagavi, Vijayapura and Shivamogga (1 pc).

He said special training will be given for candidates in science and mathematics to improve the pass percentage.
