BENGALURU: An all-Indian yet multinationally-located and virtually-connected Team MultiFun was crowned ultimate champion in the 4th editionof the UNESCO-Airbus biennial innovation challenge, “Fly Your Ideas (FYI)” at Hamburg, Germany last week. Sprouting from Nonlinear Multifunctional Composites - Analysis & Design (NMCAD) Lab, Team MultiFun consists of five students presently in USA, UK, Netherlands and India, with Indian Institute of Science (IISc) professor and NMCAD Lab Head, Dr Dineshkumar Harursampath, as their official academic mentor.
MultiFun’s team as well as their award-winning idea of recycling undesirable vibrations into stored energy have their genesis in NMCAD Lab, Department of Aerospace Engineering, IISc.
