Guru Nanak Celebrates Sports Day

CHENNAI: Guru Nanak College celebrated its annual sports day on March 13. B Sumathi Hariharan Aiyar, Indian cricketer, first Indian national and international woman umpire and marketing manager at Canara Bank, Chennai, was the chief guest at the function.

M Selvaraj, principal, gave the welcome address. Gunita Arun Chandhok, director, introduced the chief guest. The annual sports report was delivered by A Jeyaganesan, director of physical education.

Students performed aerobics, bhangra and Indo-western dances. The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks by Kumara Guru, deputy director.
