Bus Falls Into Lake, 4 hurt

BENGALURU: Four BMTC staffers, including a woman, sustained injuries when a speeding BMTC bus toppled into the dry Doddakere Lake in Anekal on Tuesday.

Police said at 2.15 pm the bus was heading towards Jigani depot when the driver lost control when the front tyre burst. Locals immediately alerted the police.

Fire and emergency personnel lifted the bus from the lake. The injured were taken to a private hospital where they were treated as outpatients. Anekal police are investigating.
