Rowdy Hacked to Death by Gang of Six

BENGALURU:  A 35-year-old history-sheeter was hacked to death by a gang on Friday. The incident, said to be the fallout of an old rivalry, took place at Thippasandra near Kudur in Ramanagaram district. Police said the deceased is Nayaz Ali, brother of notorious rowdy and BBMP corporator Diwana Ali.

A police officer said that Nayaz Ali, a resident of Yarab Nagar in Banashankari, was involved in several cases including murder and extortion. “Ali had gone to Kamat Hotel on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway when a gang of six armed men barged in and attacked him. Ali ran and the assailants chased him before hacking him,” a police official said.

When the accused tried to flee, locals nabbed four of them and thrashed them. The arrested are Nadeem, Waseem, Tousif and Toufiq.
