BENGALURU: A 28-year-old mason was stabbed to death by his wife in Banaswadi on Friday. Police have arrested the accused for questioning.
The deceased is Armugam, a native of Tamil Nadu. He and his wife Tamilarasi have a four-year-old daughter. Police said the couple often quarrelled over Armugam’s alcoholism. His wife always asked him to kick the habit.
On Friday around 7.30 pm, Armugam came home drunk and picked a quarrel with his wife. When he tried to assault her with a wooden log, she picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the chest. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Neighbours alerted the police about the incident. Banaswadi police are investigating.
