BENGALURU: The IAF-HAL e-portal, an inter-organisation information sharing system to reduce turnaround time and ensure better serviceability of all Indian Air Force platforms supported by the PSU, was launched on Sunday.

Speaking after launching the e-portal at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited corporate office here, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar hoped that it will synergise the competencies of IAF and HAL.

This is the first inter-organisation information sharing system (IOIS) under the Digital India initiative between a defence wing and a defence PSU, stated a release.

HAL Chairman T Suvarna Raju said the customer-centric portal will go a long way in leveraging the benefits of information sharing in real time.

Air Marshal S B P Sinha, Deputy Chief of Air Staff, said the e-portal will facilitate secure information sharing between IAF and HAL for better coordination, improved transparency and faster decision-making.
