Pothole Tragedy: BDA to Get Notice

Three days after the death of a woman caused by a pothole on a road, the traffic police to issue a notice to Bengaluru Development Authority.

BENGALURU:Three days after the death of a woman caused by a pothole on a road, the traffic police have decided to issue a notice to Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA).

Inspector Chandradar S R of Airport Traffic police station said, “We tried to contact BDA authorities to issue the notice, but as it was Sunday, we could not do it.”

Speaking to Express, BDA commissioner T Sham Bhatt said, “We have not received any notice yet. I think the police will issue a notice after investigating the case. I  have directed the officials on Saturday to fill the pothole immediately.”

The accident had occurred on Thursday night when Om Prakash and his wife Stuti Pandey (25) were returning home from Marathahalli.

Stuti died after she fell off the bike while Om Prakash was trying to negotiate a pothole.
