BENGALURU: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted simultaneous raids on the premises of five public servants, who allegedly possessed assets disproportionate (DA) to their known source of income, in Mysuru, Bengaluru, Ramanagara and Kolar.
A release issued by ACB stated the search was still on to evaluate the DA and are verifying the documents relating to the properties owned by the accused officials.
The raid was conducted after registering cases under Section 13(1)(e) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Except disclosing that they have seized documents related to their assets, the ACB did not spell about the properties, ornaments or cash possessed by the accused officials.
In Mysuru, it has conducted raid on the office and residential premises of K R Mahesh, Assistant Engineer, Mysore Urban Development Authority. They were verifying documents relating to his flat at Brigade Apartments, Sapthagiri Academy, an educational and technical training institute.
It also raided the office and residence of G C Suresh, Revenue Inspector, Kengeri, Bengaluru South taluk. The raid was conducted on his and his father-in-law’s residences in Srigandha Kaval in the city. Suresh’s under-construction house at ITI Layout near Mallattahalli has also come under the ACB scanner.
Apart from this, ACB has also raided the office and residences of Narasimhaiah, Section Superintendent, Muzrai Department, at DC’s office in Kolar, and his residence in Malur. The search was also conducted at his native Ummulu, Hoskote.
They also recovered documents from the office of M R Chalapathigowda, Accounts Assistant, Yeldur Grama Panchayat, Srinivasapura, Kolar, and his residence at Agara in Mulbagal taluk of Kolar district and also of Girish, Bill Collector, Bannikuppe GP, Ramanagara district. His residence at Bannikuppe and his office.
