Hand over Rudresh case to NIA, says Yeddyurappa

BENGALURU: The state unit of the BJP has demanded a probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which deals with terror cases, into the brutal murder of RSS swayamsevak Rudresh in the heart of Bengaluru last week. The party has also warned of a Karnataka bandh if arrests aren’t made in three to four days in the case.
BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa said an NIA probe is necessary as the investigative agencies of the state are not trustworthy. “Be it Rudresh, Prashanth Poojary or Raju, justice has not been done. Karnataka is turning into a state of murders. Members of Hindu organisations (read RSS/BJP) are being hunted down and killed. I request D V Sadananda Gowda to request Rajnath Singh to initiate an NIA probe in this case,” he said.
