BENGALURU: A division bench of the High Court on Friday asked the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to continue the investigation into the murder of RSS worker Rudresh.
Hearing the appeal filed by the Union government against the single bench which had asked the Commercial street police to investigate into the case, the division bench of Chief Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee and Justice P S Dinesh Kumar stayed the single bench order and asked the NIA to probe instead.
It may be recalled that Rudresh was murdered October 16 in Shivajinagar under Commercial street police station limits. The BJP insisted on an investigation by NIA and the government transferred the case to them for investigation. However, this was challenged by the accused and acting on it, the single bench quashed the Home Ministry's order transferring the case to NIA.
