Bleeding when pregnant does not always mean miscarriage

BENGALURU: My wife is 32 and is currently pregnant with our second baby. During the long ultrasound period, we were told that my wife has blood in her uterus. She has had history of blood clots. I want to know if this is a serious issue. The doctor says that the blood will disappear and we can monitor with ultrasound regularly.

Bleeding is not uncommon in the early stages of pregnancy. It is called subchorionic bleed. Some women may experience spotting / brown discharge or light bleeding.

It does not always lead to miscarriage. Please follow the advice of your obstetrician meticulously.

I am 24-years-old female. I am had periods three times in March. After being taking a pill when I experienced four days mensuration and again a week after that I experienced three days. I want to know if this is normal after taking a pill. I experienced pain in my abdomen after my third period was over just three days ago. What can this be?

Three periods in a month is not normal unless you have been on and off hormonal tablets erratically. It would be ideal to see a Gynaecologist and get an ultrasound scan of your pelvis for correct assessment.

I am 32-years old. My menstrual cycle just ended on Saturday. Since then I have been experiencing a small amount of pinkish colour discharge. Is this something to worry about?

It is not uncommon to have some discharge or spotting at the tail end of a period and sometimes prior to the start of a period. If it is persistent do go and consult a Gynaecologist.
