Vice-principal beats up Bengaluru school students, sacked

The vice-principal of Don Bosco School, Fr. Dominic who was allegedly harassing over 20 students of Classes 5 and 6 has been sacked.

TUMAKURU: The vice-principal of Don Bosco School, Fr. Dominic who was allegedly harassing over 20 students of Classes 5 and 6 has been sacked. With the bruises over their bodies, the students had complained to their parents who, in turn, complained to the principal Fr. Stanley.

Later, the school authorities sacked the vice principal and also filed a report to the Block Education Officer (BEO) Basavaraju for further action.

Dominic (34), who hails from Kerala, had joined the school last academic year and used to teach English. For small mistakes such as not doing homework, he would punish the students severly, it is alleged.
On Monday, he beat up the students for not bringing English textbook to his class.

The principal, when contacted over phone, clarified that only two parents had lodged the complaint with him on Tuesday following which he took action. “I ensure that no such incidents happen in future,” he said.
“The accused teacher will not be engaged to take classes any more,” he added.
