Congress to take out rally against BJP on Thursday

Congress leaders and workers will stage a massive protest at Freedom Park on Thursday against selective raids on Congress leaders by Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate sleuths in the state.​

BENGALURU: The political slam-bang action between Congress and the BJP is set to turn more vitriolic with Congress preparing to stage ‘Satyameva Jayate’ rally in the city on Thursday against BJP’s alleged vendetta politics against Congress leaders.

Congress leaders and workers will stage a massive protest at Freedom Park on Thursday against selective raids on Congress leaders by Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate (ED) sleuths in the state.

“The BJP-led Union government is misusing IT and ED. The Modi government is indulging in vendetta politics by targeting Congress leaders while not touching corrupt BJP leaders or corporate biggies,” KPCC working president Dinesh Gundu Rao said here on Tuesday.

Reacting to Yeddyurappa’s statement that he will send Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and other corrupt ministers to prison within 24 hours if the BJP comes to power in the state, Gundu Rao challenged Yeddyurappa to send them to jail immediately if he has evidence to prove his charges.

He also condemned Yeddyurappa’s allegation that Siddaramaiah paid `1,000 crore to the Congress high command to retain the CM’s post.
