Sixth accused in Kammanahalli case held

The sixth accused in the Kammanhalli molestation case has been arrested. He has been identified as George alias Puppy (23),resident of Kammanahalli.

BENGALURU: The sixth accused in the Kammanhalli molestation case has been arrested. He has been identified as George alias Puppy (23),resident of Kammanahalli.

The police sources said,“He was on the run. He had left the mobile phone at his residence and fled to Tamil Nadu with Rs 4000.”

During questioning, he told police that he had gone to repent for his mistake at Velankani church in Nagapattanam. After he ran out of money, he came back to Bengaluru to get more money from his friends and leave the city again.

The family was also deciding to file a missing complaint. However, based on a tip-off, cops arrested George when he tried to contact a friend.

Earlier, police had arrested Aiyappa(19), Leno (20), James (20), Sudesh (20) and Somashekar (24). On January 1, around 2.41 am, ITI student Aiyappa who also works as a part-time delivery boy along with his friend Leno, a BCom dropout and working as helper groped and molested a woman who was heading towards her room after New Year Celebrations.
