BENGALURU: Five people were arrested for kidnapping and torturing a woman and her daughter.
The arrested are Tehsina (32), Yasmin Taj (27), Jabiullah (33), Indramma (52) and Imran Pasha (28). They attacked a 45-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter.
Police said on January 15, a 15-year-old girl ran away with Shabul (21) from her house in Nandini Layout and a complaint was registered by her parents the next day. The woman who was attacked and Shabul worked together.
The girl’s family went to the woman’s house on January 17. The accused thought the woman and her daughter knew the whereabouts of Shabul. They kidnapped them, stripped them, threw chilli powder at their private parts. But the duo managed to escape and filed a complaint. One person is still absconding.
