BENGALURU: Out of the 3,665 Arkavathy Layout allottees who have lost their lands to denotification, nearly 300 have sent in written applications conveying their interest in accepting alternative sites in Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda Layout, BDA Secretary Basavaraju told Express.
“Those who have conveyed their consent are mostly 20x30 and 30x40 site owners.The concerned files have been sent to the Commissioner and they will be given alternative site as soon as it is approved,” he said.Asked about the remaining allottees, he said they would have to wait until land is available at Arkavathy.
Meanwhile, a nearly 100-strong gathering of Arkavathy allottees met the BDA Secretary on Wednesday afternoon seeking a solution to their lands which had been denotified.“He has promised to allot land within Arkavathy for 20x30 and 30x40 site allottees who have lost their land within 10 days. We will wait and see if he keeps up the proise,” said M Nagaraj, president of the Arkavathy (BDA) Layout Allottees
