Man commits suicide in Bengaluru after tiff

A 33-year-old man committed suicide by hanging at his house in Mallathalli on Tuesday night.

BENGALURU: A 33-year-old man committed suicide by hanging at his house in Mallathalli on Tuesday night.

The deceased Muthuraj was a resident of Balaji Layout. He was living with his wife for four years, and police suspect he could have ended his life over some domestic issue. Police said, Muthuraj was an alcoholic and the couple used to quarrel frequently. In April, his wife approached the Jnanabharathi police to lodge a complaint against him, but the police reconciled the couple.  The police also gave a warning to Muthuraj and let him go after registering a non-cognisable report.

On Tuesday, the couple again had a fight over some issue, and on Wednesday, Muthuraj’s wife found him hanging at the makeshift shed where they lived.
