BENGALURU: Officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday met members of the Justice K N Keshavanarayana Committee in connection with its probe into the “unnatural death” of Deputy Superintendent of Police M K Ganapathy.

In July last year, the government had ordered a judicial probe and formed the committee headed by the former High Court judge. Simultaneously, the CID was also carrying out its investigation into the case. The judicial probe report is yet to be submitted. Sources said it may be submitted in the second week of December.

The CBI officials declined to share any information about the meeting, but sources said they sought information regarding the panel’s inquiry into the case. Sources in the committee said, “The CBI asked for certain information and findings of the committee report which can help their investigations.”
The CBI officials have inspected the lodge where Ganapathy allegedly committed suicide, and questioned many people, including the deceased’s family members and the doctor who conducted the autopsy.
