BENGALURU : Vivekananda Vidya Peeta (VVP), established in 1998 at Maruthinagar, Gubbi Taluk, Tumkur district, is managed by SVS Education Society. VVP is a private, unaided organization,, recognized by the Govt of Karnataka. The school is co-educational and has an attached pre- primary section. The school follows the state syllabus. Currently, there are 830 students from pre-nursery to eight standard, the teacher and student ratio being 1:20. The school is built on a 1.5 acre land surrounded by greenery. The school emphasis on morality, obedience and attitude.

VVP, as the name says, imbibes right understanding with happiness in the pursuit basics of knowledge. Traditional meets modern in terms of he rare quality teaching of traditional and cultural values to modern day needs, like effective language tools to the importance of socio-economic history and its relevance. VVP, where discipline, wit and conviction meet education, is a temple of learning and sportiveness which makes up the mind of kids to adopt with present-day world. The school vision is to create and nurture individuals in such a way that each individual can build their future by facing the challenges that world poses.

One of the unique features of the school is ensuring hygienic, nutritious food. Every Thursday, students are made to bring homemade food with one dish made from ragi as mandatory. The campus has 24/7 CCTV surveillance and the class rooms have facility to make audio conversations from the administrative office. Projectors are installed to visualize the subject in a unique way. The school recruits only lady teachers. For the academic year 2017-18, as per norms, the school has alloted 25% of the seats to RTE applicants, says Arun Kumar G S, founder secretary.
