BENGALURU: Miscreants, who barged into a house, allegedly murdered a 35-year-old man and packed the body in a polythene bag and hid it under a cot before fleeing. The incident took place at Kurubarahalli in Mahalakshmi Layout police station limits on Thursday night. Police are suspecting the role of the victim’s wife, who claimed that the assailants sprayed something on her face, rendering her unconscious.
The deceased is Narasimhamurthy, a resident of JC Nagar in Kurubarahalli. Hailing from Ramanagara, Narasimhamurthy married Anitha seven years ago. The couple has a five-year-old son and the family had moved to the city five years ago.

According to the police, Anitha said that her husband returned home from work around 11pm. A little later, a gang of three men barged into the house and sprayed something on her face.  She claimed that she fell unconscious.

“Preliminary probe has revealed that Narasimhamurthy was strangulated and then stabbed in the abdomen. His mother, Hanumamma, has filed a complaint stating, ‘Anitha had an illicit affair with one, Praveen, an auto driver. Praveen allegedly used to visit Anitha when Narasimhamurthy was not at home. Learning about this, Narasimhamurthy had warned his wife and her paramour. So, I suspect both of them behind my son’s death’. Based on her complaint, we are searching for Praveen. We will also question Anitha,” police said.
