BENGALURU:  Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee says she was a good student at school, and still values the lessons she learnt from her teachers. Her film Hichki that was released yesterday, she says, is a tribute to her teachers. The actress was in the city for the promotion of her comeback film Hichki. She says, "I am returning to Bengaluru after a very long time. It is a green city. I remember buying diyas near MG Road”.
Hichki carries that message that you must turn your weakness to your strength. She says, "That is what life is about. When you are a child, you face many roadblocks in studies.

You might be weak in certain subjects and good at other. You just need to get better at the subjects you are weak in and do well in class and that continues to your professional life as well. You get confused about what is right for you and what to choose as your career but finally, you find it and reach your goal. There are lot of 'hichkis' that come our way in life but we fight and overcome it all."

She says, "Being a new mother, I wanted a great incentive to go back to work and the great incentives would only have been a great story and a great character. That’s why I am back doing what I love to do - acting - and Hichki is a special film."

The actress plays the role of a teacher, suffering from Tourette's Syndrome, who tries to get her troublemaker students to realise their full potential. She says if she were a teacher, she would love to teach geography. "My favourite subjects in school were history and geography. I love studying about places and learn about the topography. My favourite channels are also Discovery and National Geographic Channel," she adds.
