BENGALURU : In a day and age where Artificial Intelligence is finding a prominent space in every aspect of an individual’s life, this storytelling session introspects on the impact of the same. The three-hour workshop will not only look at how technology has affected us, but also how it has affected the way we communicate, on an individual and personal level. With the help of discussions, powerpoint presentations, storytelling, role-plays and elements of theatre, Urmila Prabhu will take the participants through the journey of self-exploration.

She says, “People are highly dependent on Artificial Intelligence. AI has always been there, but today, there is a higher dependence on it. The youth know more about artificial intelligence than themselves. Through these sessions, I first try to know them and then I take them into an inward journey.”Calling the process evolutionary and participatory, Urmila says, this is also an attempt to look at how communication gap leads to the increasing generation gap in society today. “We know how to communicate via e-mail, but cannot communicate face to face. This could be a reason for the increasing generation gap today.”

Adding, she says, “A person who tells a story can never be unhappy. Happiness comes from knowing thyself, connecting with yourself and connecting with others. Storytelling is a medium that helps to build all the bridges between you and others.”Urmila is a storyteller and story coach who ‘wants to make this world a happy place.’ The event ‘AI and Me’ is an idea that was conceptualised to help the participants realise the impact AI has on their lives and also help in finding the ‘real me’. The workshop will be conducted at Dialogues cafe in JP Nagar, on July 22, from 10 am to 1 pm.
