Bengaluru: Errors in teacher recruitment test results worries candidates

Many aspirants approached the department officials and urged them to rectify the list.

BENGALURU: Several aspirants for the post of teachers at state government schools are worried as the list of selected candidates published by the Department of Primary and Secondary Education has several discrepancies.

According to candidates, some of those who are on the list did not even receive a confirmation message while the ones who weren’t even there on the list, received it. Some others were surprised to see their names published twice in the eligibility list.

As per the department norms, the ones who cleared the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), are eligible to participate in recruitment examinations. Many aspirants approached the department officials and urged them to rectify the list. They said that there were some errors in the provisional list. “While correcting this data, some other errors crept in. So, we have de-linked the list from the website and a new verified list is ready to be uploaded,” said officials.
