BENGALURU: The Cubbon Park police has recorded the statements of two witnesses in connection with the case filed by actress Sruthi Hariharan against actor Arjun Sarja. Police sources say that both the witnesses alleged that Sruthi was upset about how Sarja behaved with her.

Makeup artist Kiran and Monica, an associate director of Vismaya, appeared before the police on Tuesday and gave their statements regarding the allegations made by Sruthi that Sarja made her uncomfortable by touching her inappropriately on the sets of the movie.Sources say that Monica had said that Sruthi was dull on the sets. “I enquired what had happened and she said she was upset with the way Arjun Sarja behaved with her. I was not too bothered as it was not concerned with me but I consoled Sruthi,” a source said quoting Monica.

Even Kiran is said to have made a similar statement indicating that all was not well with Sruthi on the sets of the movie. “I was not at the shooting spot but Sruthi came out of the sets weeping and told me that Sarja was troubling her. Also, it is true that Sarja had stopped his car next to Sruthi’s car at Devanahalli Signal, but I am not sure what he said to her,” Kiran reportedly told the police.

Two other witnesses, Sruthi’s assistant Boregowda and her friend Yashaswini have reportedly sought some time to give their statements. The police will summon more witnesses including the film director Arun Vaidyanathan as part of the probe.
