CHENNAI: WLC College India (WLCI), one of the professional education institutions in India has announced special scholarships in their exclusive project to reward defence personnel, their spouse, children and ex-servicemen.

These scholarships will be offered for professional courses in business eco nomics, fashion technology, advertising and graphic design, visual communications and mass communications.

The scholarships for the defence personnel and their wards have been categorised into three prominent sections.

Children of personnel, of any rank, who were killed in action, will be rewarded 100 per cent scholarship.

Wards of personnel of any rank who died in harness and wards of personnel up to the rank of JCO will be privileged to get 50 per cent scholarship.

Moreover, Army officers and children of Army officers will be awarded 25 per cent free-ship.

To apply for professional programme scholarship, applicant must hold a graduate degree or equivalent and X, plus two/ equivalent qualification for scholarships in advanced programmes.

Besides this, as part of eligibility criteria, the applicant must also obtain merit in both the WLC College Admission Test and Scholarship Interview to apply for either of above scholarships.
