Chennai college hosts international conference

S K R Engineering College organised a three-day international conference titled ‘Computational Intelligence and Communication’. On day one, chief guest Thillaichelvi Ponnuchamy, principal hardware engineer, Oracle America, US, delivered the keynote address in which she spoke about recent trends in the field of microprocessor design.  Guest of honour, T S Rangarajan, IEEE Chairman - Chennai Chapter, elaborated on IEEE’s role and support for research scholars. The special address by K Visalini, the world’s highest IQ holder, was on cloud computing. The proceedings was released by Thillaichelvi Ponnuchamy and the first copy was received by R Suguna, dean, computer science and engineering.

On the second day, chief guest Premkumar Rajendran, vice president, Deutsche Bank AG, Singapore, spoke about data security. The special address was delivered by Tharmaraj V, Bahwan Cyber IT Park, Chennai.

On day three, chief Guest V Lakshmi Narasimhan from East Carolina University, USA, delivered a  speech about cloud computing.  The special address was by P S Ravishankar, ST Micro Electronics, Singapore.
