Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Artisans Welfare Associastion is organising an exhibition cum sale at Srushti Handicrafts Emporium till October 20.
The exhibition , which was inaugurated by P Mallikarjunaiah, regional director, Ministry of Textiles, Government Of India, will include rare collections of traditional bronze and brass metal handicrafts. Also on dislay will be wood and stone carvings, semi-precious stone jewelleries and sculptures, rosewood puja mandapams, shivalingas in jade and emeralds.
The visitors will also get to see a collection of rare rudrakshas with as many as 21 faces. The exhibition is a joint venture by local craftsmen with craftsmen with other regions so as to uplift the artisans of the Handicrafts Association in the city. The exhibition is on from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm at Sudarsan building, Chamiers Road, Alwarpet. Contact 42060730 for details.
