Teppan Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar will be hosting the Sushi-Yaki Festival at their restaurant on TTK Road till October 27. The festival will be a celebration of Teppan’s most popular Japanese fare, hosted by the seasoned Chef June who will showcase some of the best sushi and grills.
As the name of the festival suggests, the stars of the culinary fest are a range of authentic sushi and yaki. The word yaki, derived from the Japanese word yaku is a unique cooking method in which the ingredients are grilled, broiled or pan-fried in a special iron griddle.
The festival menu will feature Teppan favorites like Vegetable Dragon Maki which is crumb fried assorted vegetable, avocado, Japanese mayo tempura crunch, tongarashi, sesame seeds rolled with sushi vineyard rice, Tori Teppanyaki chicken grilled with homemade three spice sauce, Tofu kara age tempura batter fried tofu served with chef’s special sauce, Sarada batera maki, iceberg lettuce, cucumber, carrot rolled with spicy mayo, tanoki and topped with mango and more delicacies.
