Pattali Makkal Katchi president GK Mani has moved the Madras High Court challenging an order dated July 15 of the Disaster Management and Mitigation Department directing the party to compensate Rs 4.44 crore for the damages caused by partymen and towards the loss of revenue to TASMAC shops in the aftermath of the Chithirai Thiruvizha in Mamallapuram and subsequent violent incidents in Marakkanam.
