Thyagaraya Nagar and Kannammapettai electric crematoriums are closed for renovation work till October 21. So, the residents are advised to use the nearby electrical crematorium at Saidapet, Kodambakkam and Nungambakkam. However the burial of dead bodies will take place as usual, said a communique from the Corporation of Chennai. Once the renovation is completed, the electric crematoriums will be functioning again.
