ExNora International recently kick started an awareness initiative called Mosquito Musketeers to spread awareness about the mosquito menace which will increase with the onset of monsoons.

The main aim of the initiative is to create awareness about the problems mosquitoes create and the ways to eradicate the menace in one’s neighbourhood. Volunteers from schools and colleges will be educated in the different ways one can prevent mosquitoes from breeding in their houses. They will also be drafted to carry out door-to-door surveys, suggesting ideas to help stop mosquitoes from entering their homes.

M B Nirmal, head of ExNora, said that they would distribute CDs and information booklets across schools and colleges too.

Mayor Saidai S Duraiswamy, who was present at the event, said that the Chennai Corporation might implement this initiative across all their wards. College students from Anna Nagar and Villivakkam were inducted into the initiative during the launch.
