Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai, celebrated ‘Nishtha – Reverence’, its fourth Annual Day at the Kamarajar Arangam in the city recently. The event had numerous cultural events performed by the students.

Advocate, columnist, author and former journalist Sanjay Pinto was the chief guest the occasion.

He emphasised the importance of struggle and diligence and appealed to the parents to let their children strive for their intellectual, social and emotional development. He also stressed on the need for cross-cultural competency and appreciated the cultural programs presented by students reflecting the theme ‘Reverence’ in different forms.

The highlight of the event was the release of the school’s music album titled ‘Musically Yours’, a first-of-its-kind venture for the school. The video album is a compilation of works by the students and faculty.

The event also had a award ceremony, where prizes for general proficiency and academic proficiency were given away to the students. School toppers and board exam toppers were also awarded.  In addition, awards were presented to best teachers at different levels.
