The Southern Railway has announced that additional coaches would be added to six trains in view of the festive season.
Sources said that an additional first AC coach would be added to Hyderabad-Tiruvananthapuram Sabari Express between October 21 and November 23.
The Tiruvananthapuram-Hyderabad Sabari Express also would get an additional first AC coach between October 23 and November 17.
An AC 3-tier coach would be added to Kacheguda-Chennai Egmore Express between October 21 and November 15; and the return train would be extended the facility between October 24 and November 18.
An extra AC 3-tier coach would be added to Chennai Egmore-Kakinada Port Circar Express between October 22 and November 16. On the other hand the down train would get the same between October 23 and November 17.
Permanent augmentation include of six trains was also announced. One AC 3-tier coach would be added to Nizamudin-Tiruvananthapuram Rajdhani Express from November 24.
An AC 3-tier coach would be added to Nizamudin-Chennai Central Rajdhani Express from November 20.
An extra second class sleeper coach would be extended to Amritsar-Kochuveli weekly express from December 1. Another would be added to Kochuveli-Amritsar weekly Express from December 4.
