Ushering in a golden 'era'

To mark the completion of fifty years of service, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has organised a travelling photo exhibition

Commemorating the Golden Jubiliee of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, K Rosaiah on Monday inaugurated a Travelling Photo Exhibition. The exhibition portrays the history of the Sangathan and was inaugurated at the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan at Anna University.

The governor, while inaugurating the exhibition expressed that the history of the Sangathan was synonymous with education in modern India. The governor, stressing upon the achievements of Kendriya Vidyalaya said, “Crossing a milestone of fifty golden years, and that too with creditable achievements is really commendable”.

The governor outlined the goals of the Government of India and said “the state and the central governments have education as their prime agenda and aim at providing access to education to all. I congratulate the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for dedicating itself to initiate and promote innovativeness in education”.

The exhibition portrays the history and the journey of the Sangathan. The governor addressing the students and the teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya, said, “Building the youth and students into good citizens of tomorrow rests with educational institutions.”

To stress on the importance of education, the governor also alluded to the messages of Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda. The exhibition will remain open for visitors and will provide a portrayal of the various highpoints in the history of the Sangathan.
