Sunday saw the launch of www.kidneyintamil.com, a portal meant for those who want kidney ailment-related information in Tamil language. The website offers content, which is accessible to read and download in about 240 pages, about various issues like prevention, symptoms, treatment and care for kidney disease.
The kidney guide was originally prepared in English language by Kidney Education Foundation in www.kidneyeducation.com with the help of Rajkot-based nephrologist Dr Sanjay Pandya. It was translated in to Tamil by a retired government employee M Srinivasan with an intention to help and educate the 80 million Tamil speaking people.
“It was originally available in 14 other languages,” said Reddi Yugandhar of La Renon Health Care, which helped with the launch.
